Fire Fighting

FIRE FIGHTING SUITS

FYRPRO series fireman garments are manufactured as per EN 469:2005 standard and certified as per 89/686/EEC - PPE as a requirement of European Regulations.

Basically, this standard defines the lowest limits of fire resistance against different heat types (Xf, Xr) and also includes the lowest value of the garment against water pressure (Y)  and highest value of  water vapor resistant (Z). Fireman Garments in this standard are categorized as Level 1 and Level 2 according these factors. Level 2 Garments provides the best protection and maximum comfort.

Main purpose in fireman garments is the protection of the user against heat stress. This is provided by using the high heat resistant layers and keeping the user dry. The water as one of the greatest auxiliary material in the firefighting  maybe fatal if stays inside the fireman garment.

Because water, transmits heat more faster than air. In this respect, it is very important to keep  air spaces between layers used in the fireman garments. For this reason, moisture barriers are used. This barrier shows resistance to the water from outside and does not let the water in, also evacuates the moisture from sweating through the micro pores. Provides comfort and keeps the user dry.

Garments are generally formed with 4 main layers.

-          Outer layer (Fire resistant fabric which is resistant against heat and mechanical effects, water repellent)

-          Moisture Barrier ( PU membrane laminated on Aramid/melamin based conductor.)

-          Heat Barrier (double or single layered , generally non-woven fire resistant layer)

-          Inner Liner ( quilted on heat barrier, low weight fire resistant fabric)

ALUMINIZED FIRE PROXIMITY SUITS

FYRAL Series garments are professional technical garment that are need to be used by trained individuals. They are used in different fire fighting techniques other than special designed FYRPRO series. Employee must decide which firefighting garment should be used after the risk analysis in case of fire.

FYRAL series garments are manufactured as per EN 1486:2007 and certified as per 89/686/EEC – PPE.

Basically, this standard also defines the lowest heat resistant limits for different heat types.

FYRAL series garments which have this standard are used with self contained breathing apparatus and aims the protection of the user from the heat stress by reflecting radiant heat.

For this reason, special aluminized fabric is used in the outer layer which has pre property of reflecting the radiant heat.

Garments are formed with 3 or 4 main layers. Moisture Barrier can be added according to area of use.

-          Outer layer (Fire resistant fabric which is resistant against heat and mechanical effects, water repellent)

-          Heat Barrier (double or single layered , generally non-woven fire resistant layer)

-          Inner Liner ( quilted on heat barrier, low weight fire resistant fabric)

FYRAL series garments are delivered with special gloves and rubber fireman boots in a special carrying bag. The products must also conform to their own standards. In these kinds of garments no body part remains uncovered and a head protective helmet and gold vaporized reflective visor are included in the hood.
